Air Fryer Oven Beef Jerky

A simple and healthy way to make flavorful beef jerky at home using an air fryer oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean beef (flank steak, sirloin, or round)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep the Beef: Slice beef into thin strips (freeze for 30 minutes first for easier cutting).
  2. Marinate: In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire, honey, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Add beef strips, cover, and marinate for 6–12 hours in the fridge.
  3. Arrange in Air Fryer Oven: Lay beef strips in a single layer on the racks.
  4. Cook: Set air fryer oven to 175°F (80°C) and cook for 120–240 minutes. Flip halfway through.
  5. Check Doneness: Jerky should be dry, slightly chewy, and bend without breaking.
  6. Cool & Store: Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temp for 1 week; refrigerate for up to 2 weeks; freeze for up to 3 months.
