Buffalo Mozzarella Sticks

Delicious Buffalo Mozzarella Sticks that are a hit at game nights. Crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, complemented by zesty Buffalo sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 block Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Buffalo sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional: Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
  • Optional: Garlic powder and dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Slice the mozzarella into sticks.
  2. Coat each stick in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Repeat the process for a double coating.
  3. Freeze the coated sticks for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a frying pan.
  5. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Brush with Buffalo sauce after cooking, wait briefly before serving.
  8. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side, if desired.

Notes

Freezing the sticks before cooking prevents them from melting too quickly. For baking, spray with oil and flip halfway through for even crispiness.
