Cajun Mozzarella Sticks

Cajun Mozzarella Sticks are a spicy, cheesy snack perfect for any occasion. They’re quick to prepare and can be customized to suit your spice preference.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten (with a splash of milk)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun spice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Oil for frying or cooking spray for air frying

Instructions

  1. Slice mozzarella sticks in half for smaller bites if desired.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Cajun spice, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. Coat the floured sticks in the egg mixture until fully covered.
  5. Toss the sticks in the breadcrumb mixture and repeat for a double dip.
  6. Freeze the breaded sticks for about 30 minutes.
  7. Fry in hot oil or air fry at 400°F for 5-7 minutes until golden and melty.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Freezing the sticks before frying is crucial to prevent cheese leakage. Don’t crowd the pan when frying.
