  • 8 slices of white sandwich bread

  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup chopped fresh strawberries

  • 2 eggs

  • ¼ cup milk

  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • 2 tbsp sugar (for cinnamon-sugar coating)

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)

  • Butter or oil for frying

  • Powdered sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  • Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in chopped strawberries.

  • Assemble Sandwiches: Spread the filling on 4 slices of bread. Top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches. Gently press edges to seal.

  • Dip & Coat: In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk. Dip each sandwich in the mixture, making sure both sides are well coated. Optionally, coat with breadcrumbs for extra crisp.

  • Fry: Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry sandwiches 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

  • Topping: Mix cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over hot sandwiches or dust with powdered sugar.

  • Serve: Slice in halves or quarters. Serve warm with extra strawberries or syrup if desired.
