1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
Prepare the Pie Crust: If using a store-bought crust, thaw according to package directions. Place it in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and fully combined.
Add Pecans: Stir in pecan halves until they are well coated with the filling mixture.
Fill and Bake: Pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust. Spread the pecans evenly. Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 45–50 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
Cool and Serve: Let the pie cool completely at room temperature before slicing. Serve as-is, or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh pecans. Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts.
