Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet

A cozy and creamy chicken dish reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse, perfect for satisfying cravings at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast (or thighs)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 tablespoons real butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken into chunky pieces, not too thin.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil and sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Add real butter to the skillet.
  5. Add minced garlic to the melted butter and let the chicken soak it up.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer until the sauce is glossy and clinging to the chicken.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for a minute before serving.

Notes

Don’t crowd the pan for crisp edges. Consider adding smoked paprika or a dash of lemon for extra flavor. Let the chicken rest off the heat to prevent burns.
