Tuna Macaroni Salad

A creamy and delicious Tuna Macaroni Salad perfect for potlucks, barbecues, and family meals.

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (cooked and cooled)
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional for added creaminess)
  • 1 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (red, green, or yellow), diced
  • 3 boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas (thawed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions (typically 7-9 minutes).
  3. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool and prevent sticking.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, sweet relish, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni, tuna, celery, red onion, bell peppers, eggs, and peas to the mixing bowl with the dressing. Gently fold everything together to evenly coat the ingredients.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to enhance flavors. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added crunch and flavor, consider adding chopped pickles, diced bell peppers, or nuts. Ensure to chill before serving for the best flavor.
