- Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar together until fluffy.
- Add egg and milk, mixing until combined (lumps are fine).
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and pinch of salt.
- Toss blueberries with a spoonful of flour and fold gently into batter.
- Pour batter into baking dish.
Crumb Topping
- For crumb topping, mix remaining sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon until crumbly; sprinkle over batter.
Baking
- Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
Serve warm with coffee or tea, or enjoy cold for breakfast. Can be topped with vanilla ice cream.
