Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add in the softened butter and beat until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Incorporating Blueberries
  1. Gently fold in the frozen blueberries, being careful to not break them.
  2. If using, fold in the white chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Finishing Touches
  1. For added flair, drizzle with a simple lemon icing made from powdered sugar and lemon juice.

Notes

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking to maintain shape. Store cookies in an airtight container with a slice of bread to keep them fresh.
