Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium Potatoes (russet or yellow) Cut into 1-inch chunks.
  • 1 package Smoked sausage Your favorite brand.
  • 1 packet Ranch dressing mix Use the dry packet, not bottled.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese Cheddar or your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil A smidge to toss the potatoes.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Use sparingly due to seasoning mix.
  • optional Chopped parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the potatoes into roughly 1-inch chunks.
  3. Toss the potato chunks with olive oil, ranch dressing mix, and a little salt in a large bowl.
Baking
  1. Layer the seasoned potatoes in a baking dish.
  2. Place the smoked sausage slices on top of the potatoes without burying them.
  3. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired before serving.

Notes

Make sure to cut potatoes evenly for consistent cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or oven for best results.
