Preparation

- In another bowl, combine pitted cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
- Pour the cherry mixture over the crust evenly.
Topping and Baking
- Make the crumble topping by mixing remaining flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping generously over the cherry layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Serving
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
- Serve warm or chilled, with optional whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
