  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated For creaminess and flavor.

  • 1 cup shrimp, cooked For a seafood twist.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the orzo pasta to the pan and toast for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover, simmering for 10-12 minutes or until orzo is tender.
Finishing
  1. Remove the pan from heat, stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  2. Add any optional proteins or vegetables at this stage, along with lemon juice for added flavor.
  3. Serve warm, garnished with extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

For leftovers, add a splash of broth or water while reheating to maintain creaminess. This dish can also be served cold as a salad base.
