  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk for silkiness
For the Dark Chocolate Ganache
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (60-70% cacao) or chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream for making ganache
  • 1 tbsp butter for added richness in ganache

Method
 

Preparing Your Flaky Tart Shell
  1. Combine flour and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add ice water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough just comes together.
  4. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
