Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced Best cuts for stir-fry, flank steak is recommended.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Can adjust veggie-to-meat ratio.
Stir-Fry Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce Base for the sauce.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce For depth of flavor.
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar Adds sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil For a nutty flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Essential flavor component.
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced Adds warmth and spice.
  • 1 tsp cornstarch Helps to thicken the sauce.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet over high heat until very hot.
  2. Add sliced flank steak in batches, searing for 1-2 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vibrant and tender-crisp.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Pour over the broccoli and stir well.
  2. Add the beef back to the skillet, tossing everything together until heated through.
Serving
  1. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

You can adjust the veggie-to-meat ratio according to your preference. Try adding chili flakes for a spicy kick.
