Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix together honey and fresh thyme leaves to create the honey-thyme drizzle.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer brie slices, ham, and apple slices. Top with more brie.
Cooking
- Top with the remaining buttered bread slices, buttered side up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches, cooking until the bread turns golden and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.
- Once done, remove from heat and drizzle with the honey-thyme mixture before serving.
Notes
You can substitute the apple with pear or cheddar with other types of cheese. Great served with tomato soup or salad on the side.
