Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich
  • 4 slices slices of bread Any bread of choice.
  • 2 oz brie cheese Cut into slices.
  • 4 slices thin ham slices Use your preferred ham.
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple Crisp apple, can substitute with any variety.
  • 2 tbsp butter For grilling.
For the Honey-Thyme Drizzle
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves Chopped.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix together honey and fresh thyme leaves to create the honey-thyme drizzle.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  3. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer brie slices, ham, and apple slices. Top with more brie.
Cooking
  1. Top with the remaining buttered bread slices, buttered side up.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches, cooking until the bread turns golden and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.
  3. Once done, remove from heat and drizzle with the honey-thyme mixture before serving.

Notes

You can substitute the apple with pear or cheddar with other types of cheese. Great served with tomato soup or salad on the side.
