Preparation
- Slice the avocado and tomato. Mash the avocado with a pinch of salt and pepper if you prefer a smooth texture.
- Spread the mashed avocado evenly on one slice of bread.
- Add a layer of sliced tomato on top of the avocado.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top of the tomato.
- Place the second slice of bread on top to create a sandwich.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and add butter or olive oil.
- Place the sandwich on the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down gently with a spatula.
- Cook until the bread turns golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.
Notes
Use ripe avocados for better texture. You can add a fried egg for extra protein.
