  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional but adds a sweet tang)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (for added richness)
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
For the Warm Bread
  • 1 loaf baguette or artisan bread
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for brushing)
  • A sprinkle of sea salt

Method
 

Preparation of the Olive Oil Dip
  1. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sea salt.
  2. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  3. Add balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese (if using), and mix thoroughly.
  4. Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
Preparation of the Warm Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette or artisan loaf into thick slices.
  3. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush them with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt for extra flavor.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is warm and slightly crispy on the edges.
