For the bundles
  • 1 package puff pastry dough, thawed Keep cold until ready to bake.
  • 12 slices prosciutto Thinly sliced.
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed Pat dry after washing.
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated Can substitute with Gruyère or cream cheese for variations.
  • 1 egg for egg wash Whisk with a splash of water.
For the dips
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze For drizzling.
  • 1/2 cup lemon aioli Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce For a sweet and tangy pairing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  3. Place a slice of prosciutto, a spear of asparagus, and a sprinkle of cheese on each rectangle.
Assembly
  1. Wrap the pastry around the asparagus and prosciutto to form bundles.
  2. Seal the edges and place the bundles seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Brush the top of each bundle with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Notes

Make sure the puff pastry stays cold until it's time to bake for best results. Consider serving with balsamic glaze, aioli, or honey mustard for dipping.
