Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together the room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and rose water, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, dried rose petals, and chopped pistachios.
Baking
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underdone.
- Remove from oven and let cool, gently pressing additional rose petals into the cookies while still warm.
- Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before storing.
Notes
Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes prior to baking will improve texture.
