Method
Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, egg, salt, and 3 cups of flour. Mix until combined, then knead until smooth, adding more flour as needed.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Prepare Filling
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese with brown sugar and cinnamon until smooth.
Assemble Rolls
- Roll dough into a large rectangle (about 14×10 inches). Spread cream cheese mixture evenly, then layer strawberry preserves on top.
- Roll up tightly from the long side and cut into 9–12 rolls.
Second Rise
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes.
Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 22–25 minutes until golden brown.
Make Glaze
- Whisk together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
Glaze & Serve
- Spread glaze over warm rolls and enjoy immediately!
