Preparation
- Start by cubing the paneer and patting it dry. This helps to achieve a crispier texture.
- Dust the paneer cubes with cornstarch evenly and ensure each piece is coated well.
Cooking the Paneer
- Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
- Once the pan is hot, add in the paneer cubes and fry them until they are golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Making the Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
- Mix well and allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes until slightly thickened.
Combining
- Add the fried paneer back into the skillet with the sauce.
- Toss gently to coat the paneer with the sauce, being careful not to break the pieces.
Serving
- Serve the Sweet and Sour Honey Lemon Paneer hot over a bed of fluffy jasmine rice.
Notes
For a nutty twist, drizzle some lemon tahini sauce over the rice. Ensure the pan is not overcrowded while frying to maintain crispiness.
