Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken Cooked and seasoned
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix Quality seasoning preferred
  • 1 package ranch dressing mix For flavoring
  • 1/2 cup water or milk To mix with seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend
  • 24 pieces wonton wrappers or crescent roll dough Used to form mini taco cups
Toppings
  • to taste chopped fresh cilantro For garnish
  • to taste sour cream As a dip or topping
  • to taste hot sauce For added spice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brown the ground meat in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix with water or milk to form a paste.
Assembly
  1. Spoon seasoned meat mixture into mini taco cups.
  2. Top with shredded cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and cups are crispy.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for best results. You can prep components a day ahead for game day ease.
