  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (cooked and cooled)
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional for added creaminess)
  • 1 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (red, green, or yellow), diced
  • 3 pieces boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas (thawed)
Seasonings and Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions (typically 7-9 minutes).
  3. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool and prevent sticking.
Making the Dressing
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, sweet relish, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Stir well until the dressing is smooth and creamy.
Assembling the Salad
  1. Add the cooked macaroni, tuna, celery, red onion, bell peppers, eggs, and peas to the mixing bowl with the dressing.
  2. Gently fold everything together to evenly coat the ingredients.
Chilling and Serving
  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added crunch and flavor, consider adding chopped pickles, diced bell peppers, or nuts. Ensure to chill before serving for the best flavor.
