Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar Granulated
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Additional Ingredients
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
  3. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
