Ingredients

For the pizza
  • 1 piece pre-made pizza crust Store-bought is recommended for convenience.
  • 1 cup pizza sauce Can be jarred or homemade.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Use generously for a cheesy pizza.
  • 1 piece string cheese For creating the web design.
  • 1 can black olives Sliced for spider decorations.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional for brushing the crust.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out your pizza crust onto a baking tray or pizza stone.
  3. Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Creating the web
  1. Pull apart string cheese or cut block mozzarella into strips.
  2. Lay strips starting from the center of the pizza, moving outward like bicycle spokes. Connect them with curved strips for a web design.
  3. Slice olives in half to use as bodies for the spiders, and smaller bits for the legs. Press them onto the web as desired.
Baking
  1. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden.

Notes

Leftovers should be stored in a tightly sealed container in the fridge. Warm in a toaster oven for best texture. Customize with gluten-free crusts, vegan cheese, or any preferred toppings. Prepare the web ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
